Wild & Scenic shares an urgent call to action, encouraging festival-goers to learn more about what they can do to save our threatened planet. The On Tour Festival travels to around 110 events each year, partnering with groups working to protect and restore the important places in their communities. GET INVOLVED

1. Support LGBTQIA+ Rights

Back inclusive legislation currently advancing in California:

- SB 59 (Transgender Privacy Act): Automatically seals

court records for gender and name changes.

- AB 727: Would print the Trevor Project’s 988 crisis line on student ID

cards.

- SB 418: Protects LGBTQ+ individuals from healthcare discrimination.

Oppose harmful anti-trans bills:

- AB 844: Would mandate school sports participation based on birth-

assigned sex.

- AB 89: Seeks to ban trans girls from girls’ sports teams.

Call or email your representatives to support inclusive policies and oppose

discrimination.

2. Defend Federal Lands & National Parks

Support these conservation bills:

- Protecting America’s Wilderness Act: Would designate ~1.5 million

acres of new wilderness in CA, WA, and CO.

- Roadless Area Conservation Act: Makes the 2001 Roadless Rule

permanent, safeguarding 58 million acres.

Urge your U.S. senators to co-sponsor and prioritize these bills.

3. Support trusted conservation groups:

- The Wilderness Society

- Center for Western Priorities

- Sierra Club

- Tree People

- Climate Reality

4. Get Involved in Your Community

Environmental change begins locally. Attend city council, neighborhood coun-

cil, and community organizing events. As national priorities and culture shift,

we will have to rely on each other and our community more than ever.
